From an early age, Jody spent her time in the family kitchen – cracking eggs, measuring flour and stirring up concoctions with her mother, Sharron. After college, Jody went on to serve in the Air Force during Desert Storm. Always in the kitchen, even during her military service, she would spend free time creating new recipes as well as adapting her family favorites to make them hers with a twist. With the support of her family, she has always been encouraged to follow her heart and share her love of food with others!
After years of success in sales, Jody has merged her culinary talent and her desire to bring you her delectable treats through her new venture, jodycakes.
Hailing from Denver, CO., Jody recently transplanted to the California via Houston, TX bringing a fresh approach to Valencia in her custom cakes & cupcakes. Her passion for food & cooking has led her around the world. She will tickle your taste buds with hot chilis and decadent dark chocolates from Central & South America, and entice you with exotic spices such as cardamom and cinnamon from the Far East. While vanilla and chocolate are always in fashion, her red velvet cake inspired by the good ol’ South is sure to leave an impression.
